Job Summary

The lecture/lab instructor will teach a combination of kinesiology lab and/or lecture classes each week along with, developing teaching and testing materials for classes.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology

Computer literate

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience

Essential Functions

Teach lab or lecture, as needed by semester

Recommend textbooks and instructional materials to be used in the instructional program

Implement assigned curriculum

Coordinate with appropriate Midland College personnel to recruit new Kinesiology students as requested and work to increase enrollment in the department

Stay current with trends and innovations in the field

Serve as resource to the college, professional and educational communities

Maintain academic records as required by the college, accreditation agencies, and law

Successfully teach academic courses in the Kinesiology department as evidence by student evaluations and grade distribution

Instruct students; distribute syllabi, goals, and objectives

Use LMS (Learning Management System) appropriately for the course

Ensure student assessments are implemented and submitted to the Kinesiology chair

Ensure safety requirements are met in the classroom

Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds

Use of manual dexterity

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

Min Salary $417.00 per lab hour
Max Salary $614.00 per lecture hour
